From 6th to 9th grade, each student progresses in agreement with their family and the teaching team.
Established for over ten years in Aix-en-Provence, the École Privée du Val Saint André allows each student to achieve their personalized goals, established in agreement with the family and the teaching team.
In a studious yet convivial atmosphere, students prepare for French exams (Brevet des collèges, General Baccalaureate) as well as international exams (PET, KET, FCE, IGCSE, A-Level).
Alongside academic teaching, extracurricular cultural and sporting activities provide each student with the opportunity to fully flourish. Personalized instruction is provided by competent, experienced teachers who are available and attentive to everyone.
In middle school, each student prepares for the Brevet and progresses toward their personal goals in a studious and friendly atmosphere. Small class sizes (maximum 20/22 students) allow for attentive monitoring. Reinforced English: 5 hours of English in the traditional program and the possibility of 5 additional hours for the bilingual section prepares for Cambridge certifications (KET, PET, FCE) and the IGCSE, and cultural and sporting activities nurture each individual’s development.

6th grade marks the entry into middle school. It allows students to consolidate what they learned in primary school, gain autonomy, and discover new subjects as well as a different organization.
Students consolidate their skills in reading, comprehension, written and oral expression. They also deepen their study of language (grammar, conjugation, spelling, and vocabulary) through varied works.
Students strengthen their knowledge in calculation, geometry, measurements, and problem-solving. The goal is to develop their logic and reasoning.
Students discover the first great civilizations, major historical and geographical landmarks, while developing their understanding of the world and their citizenship education.
English instruction is particularly developed in our school. Students benefit from reinforced learning, allowing them to enrich their vocabulary, improve their oral and written comprehension and expression, and gain fluency in English communication.
Students develop their creativity and artistic sense through different techniques, creations, and discoveries of works.

Students deepen their knowledge in calculation, geometry, fractions, relative numbers, and proportionality. They further develop their logical reasoning and their ability to solve problems.
Students study major historical periods such as the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Modern Era. In geography, they learn to better understand territories, their evolution, and the challenges of today’s world.

Students study major periods of history, particularly the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as political, social, and economic transformations. In geography, they analyze territories and the major challenges of the contemporary world.
